A light brown, well-balanced beer with fine malts, dry citrus flavours and well-hopped.

Tasting notes

“A dark amber ale with grapefruit dominant in the nose. Grapefruit hoppiness and pleasant bitterness feature in the taste, on a silky malt bed. The aftertaste is dry, bitter and lightly fruity”.

Jeff Evans, Good Bottled Beer Guide

“This is an attractive, hoppy beer from a Hampshire microbrewery. On the nose there is very little, other than perhaps some light, faintly sweet maltiness. In the mouth it is slightly citrus — almost to the point of being sharp. The hops (First Gold) are clean, with a light malt body, giving an overall balance to the beer. This combination makes for a very moreish pint; the aftertaste is bitter, pleasantly lingering and acid-hoppy. While it isn’t a fantastically complex offering, this would make a great session beer for those that love their hops”.
